What if we saw nature not as distinguishable things like trees, mountains, and soil, but as a cloud of influences that surround us? Harkening back to her memories growing up in nature and a personal interest in Ecofeminism, Johanna's method of printmaking is in itself a dialogue with nature. In cyanotypes, the intentional outlines of base drawings intermingle with spontaneous factors like the angle, brightness, and hue of sunlight - even the canvas it is printed on is candidly frayed at the edges. In her other prints also, watercolor-like effects make even the ground appear buoyant.
Genevieve Antonello is a contemporary abstract expressionist painter based in the vibrant art community of Northeast Minneapolis, Minnesota. Genevieve’s abstract compositions challenge observers to uncover their own emotional landscapes. “You, the viewer, are as important as the work itself. Your perspective brings meaning to the work,” she explains. The work becomes a collaborative process changing with each observer emphasizing the power of perspective and the mutual influence between creator and viewer.
Taylor Stoneman (b. 1990 Phoenix, AZ) is an environmental painter living and working in Berkeley, CA. She is currently a Root Division Studio Artist in San Francisco. Through colorful oil paintings probing human dependence on and complicity in wounding and dominating the Earth, her work examines the meaning of wilderness and the dualities of harm found in the extraction of earth’s resources. Utilizing both abstraction and surrealism to tell urgent stories of environmentalism, she explores issues of wilderness loss, resource extraction, consumerism, and imperialism. Her first solo exhibition, Earthbody, is forthcoming in Fall 2025 at MADSEN Gallery in Los Altos, CA. Taylor’s work has been juried into exhibitions throughout California and across the country. She completed a residency at Vermont Studio Center in February 2025 and was featured in the January 2024 issue of Suboart Magazine.
The significance of human touch is evident in Cofta’s textile art, which focuses on exploring relationships between objects, time and memory. Her delicate hand stitching adds texture and dimension to the nostalgic imagery depicted, conjuring up our collective pasts. Cofta has had six solo shows in New York City, and was recently awarded a Residency Fellowship on Governors Island with Transborder Art. Her work has been exhibited nationally, and resides in private collections throughout the US and Europe.
Cora Jane Glasser is a third generation New Yorker. She holds a degree from Queens College and attended the Arts Students League. Glasser completed a commission for the production of permanent artwork onto architectural glass for a building in Queens, and created a monumental installation for a group exhibition. Her work has been shown in numerous solo and group shows nationally and internationally, and is held in private, corporate and municipal collections. Glasser works from her studio in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
Ashley Quick is a visual artist based in the Mountain West. Her folkloric work explores nature, place, and connection through printmaking, illustration, textiles, and public art. She holds a BA in Studio Art and a Master’s in Environment and Natural Resources from the University of Wyoming. She has been an art educator for over 10 years, and uses art to engage with both community and cause. Quick exhibits regularly in Wyoming and Colorado and has been featured in exhibitions nationwide.
Jane Kang Lawrence received her BFA from Mason Gross School of the Arts, Rutgers University. Following painting residencies in Italy she continued art making with teaching by pursuing her Masters from the School of Visual Arts. Jane has taught visual arts, ceramics, and visual literacy for students in NYC for 17 years. She is a Pulitzer Center teaching fellow leading to publication of a visual arts curriculum. Her most recent project is to curate the national I Like Your Work’s Summer 2022 Open Call. Jane is a founding director of Peep Space (Tarrytown, NY) and maintains a painting studio in New York City.
Chelsie Sunde is an artist living and working in Brooklyn, NY. Her work centers on themes of memory and desire. She works primarily in oil painting, depicting intimate interior scenes from memory. She holds a BA in Art from Gonzaga University and an MFA from Brooklyn College. Aaron Hillebrand currently lives and creates art in Ann Arbor, MI. Before moving back to his home state of Michigan, Aaron created art in New York City for 15 years. Aaron has an MFA in Fine Art from the School of Visual Arts (2022), a BFA in Photography from Parsons School of Design (2006), and an AAS in Photography from Lansing Community College (2002).
John Cox is an abstract painter based in Croton-on-Hudson. NY. He earned his Bachelors of Fine Art in Painting in May 2002 from the Maryland Institute College of Art. Afterwards, John moved to New York City where he attended Hunter College and earned a Masters of Fine Art with a concentration in painting in May of 2006. His work embraces technological glitches by employing machine customized tools to translate experienced digital disorder into gestural marks that imprecisely mimic wave patterns.
Philippe calls his paintings “geographical abstractions”. He reconstructs recognizable details of an urban environment (angular shapes that look like construction debris or suggestion of skyscrapers, for example) according to his personal impression of pecific locations like New York, Aix-en-Provence, and Zurich. But Philippe doesn’t try to organize everything - where everything is fast, noisy, smelly, and overall so extra-, you gotta lean into the chaos and learn how to enjoy it.
Maureen is a Brooklyn based painter/ interdisciplinary artist and architect. The deepest thread of connection among the different strands of her work is dealing with complexity and the task of sorting. Her practice approaches complexity from two directions: in painting, she works with her hands to document her surroundings, later expanding on these observations. In her interdisciplinary work, starting from ideas (such as social/political divisions) she makes physical structures which can offer insight by displaying and examining data .
Joseph's work creates seams by coupling non-objective imagery with written texts such as dates, names, and various words and phrases. The back and forth between the two elements pose an ambiguous field of opportunities for the viewer to exist. Urgency and chance are ever-present in the works as is the dirt on the road to conclusion.
Lauren Packard is a queer abstract mixed media artist living in Brooklyn. After undergoing brain surgery in 2014, she turned to paint to express what words couldn’t. Lauren considers her work an extension of her inner thoughts and dialogue, both conscious and subconscious. Lauren’s work explores and abstracts ideas and memories of queer identity, domesticity, repair, and dissonance through the use of materials and intuitive marks.
Born in 1984, Linden spent her youth in the urban Sonoran desert of Phoenix, Arizona before moving to Southern California to obtain her BA in Studio Art. She's since lived and worked across Europe, Asia, and Oceania. Linden's work has been published and exhibited internationally. She has participated in residencies at La Filature des Calquières (France), Tiapapata Art Centre (Samoa), Cowwarr Art Space (Australia), and Tenjinyama Art Studio (Japan). She currently lives in Mount Holly, Vermont.
Sunny Chapman retired from performing as a singer, & dancer, designing jewelry for stores like Barneys and Saks, activism and making documentaries to make art, a little jewelry and occasional poetry in Brooklyn and the Catskills. She was a street artist whose character Flower Face was published in the book Brooklyn Street Art. She resides in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, and in the Catskills. Chapman's studio art has been widely shown in galleries largely in the Northeast. Her art and poetry are published in books as well, her documentaries about Crisis Pregnancy Centers are distributed by The Cinema Guild. She is also the curator of the Birdhouse Gallery.
"I had a Museum show at the Islip Museum called Print Up Ladies. I was in the company of my life long idols such as Murray, Frankenthaler, Swoon, Yuskagave, and Bontecou to name a few. I have shown at St. Joseph’s College, MacArthur Airport, and Alfred Loen Gallery, as well as the Painting Center in Chelsea, and the Omni Gallery in Uniondale. I have exhibited at the Hecksher Museum Biennial, M. David and Company, Denise Bibro and George Billis Gallery."
Alina is an independent designer and artist, drawing her inspiration from various yoga and free dive related practices. Often inspiration comes from observing the surface of the surrounding nature: power of the ocean, black sand beach, tropical flora, sea creatures that come into combination with the imagination of the artist creating new imaginary shapes. Alina took an Art Foundation Course at London College of Fashion, UK. Constantly developing her artist skills via various projects and collaborations.
Ryan Zogheb graduated from New York University in May 2022, earning his Bachelor’s of Fine Arts with a major in studio art, concentrating in painting and graphic design. Ryan lives and works out of his studio in East Village in New York City. Since graduating, Ryan has had his work featured in four gallery exhibitions and has most recently completed a residency at Carrie Able Gallery in Brooklyn, and at the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan.
Roberto Alejandro Godinez is a Mexican artist born in San Francisco, based out of Brooklyn. A third wave impressionist oil painter, his work is the product of a life of artistry and creation. The motifs of his heavily textured and vibrant paintings are memories and emotions. He captures the complexities of these feelings and celebrates their beauty on canvas. They are a documentation of his thoughts, as well as a reflection of the healing that takes place during their creation.
Chunbum Park (Korean alphabet: 박준범, Chinese characters: 朴準範), also known as Chun, is an artist from South Korea, where they were born in 1991. They received their BFA in Fine Arts from the School of Visual Arts in 2020 and their MFA in Fine Arts Studio from the Rochester Institute of Technology in 2022, where they changed their pronouns. Born a male, Park likes to cross dress and depicts themselves as a woman in their paintings. They are the inventor of the ArtBid art auction card game and run the Emerging Whales Collective (currently merged with the Office Space Gallery website), where they interview other artists. In 2023, Park began writing exhibition reviews for various online and print magazines, including the New Visionary Magazine. They currently reside in Cliffside Park, New Jersey.
Patricia Fabricant is a painter, curator, and book designer, from NYC. She received her BA from Wesleyan University. Her abstract and figurative paintings have been exhibited at such galleries as M David & Co, Front Room, Equity Gallery, and 490 Atlantic. Her curatorial practice includes three editions of the benefit group show, Among Friends, Studio Mates at Front Room, and With the Grain and Process & Delight: The New P&D, at Equity Gallery. She lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.
Marta is redefining abstract expressionism on her own terms. Her works are fun and experimental, spanning mediums and combining techniques such as painting, printmaking, digital art, and more. The bold, vibrant colors and focus on abstracted images come from an intuitive exploration of the interactions of colors, shapes, and textures in our world. Her works take the viewer to abstract worlds and imaginary lands. Originally from Warsaw, Poland, but since 2020, she is based in Summit, NJ. Marta discovered her passion for art in 2016 and since then she has studied art in art schools in Poland, the UK, and the US. Marta's artworks were exhibited during group shows in Europe and the US.
