I take that inspiration, along with years of experience, back to my studio. My works are comprised of colors, shapes, and expressive textures, demonstrating my interaction with each medium at the moment where inspiration meets action. I often work on multiple pieces at the same time. Because I was a professional designer for over 20 years, my process tends toward the creation of a series, each focusing on different nuances of the human experience. I begin each day in my studio by writing, sketching, and reviewing my inspiration. I then start experimenting with materials to see what feels right. Once all the elements come together, I create a series. Sometimes I have a clear vision of what I want to create. Other times it is completely intuitive and organic. I work with painting, drawing, photography, video, sculpture, simple electronics, and more. I believe in the sublime power of art to inspire new ways of seeing the world.
