Suyapa Quinn expresses her ideas through objects in oil paintings. She has a Fine Arts Degree from the University of Madrid, Spain, and another degree in Graphic Design from Pratt Institute, New York, she continued her graduate studies at the School of Visual Arts, New York, specializing in Computer Animation. Suyapa has published cartoons and illustrations worldwide, and continues to show her oil paintings in galleries in the US and Europe.

I have lived most of my life in New York City and my mission has been to create art that astounds and moves people. I am inspired by objects we coexist with and find beauty in discarded objects. I use oil paints to disrupt the purity of the blank canvas. Life is so fragile and beautiful and I compare it with the objects I paint and what they mean to me.
