From the artist: I have not been able to focus. The anxiety I was feeling made its hard for me to be in any process unless the outcome was immediate - Mostly, I was cooking.! My anxiety has subsided and I can , once again. Be in the painting process. “Getting Through “ is a painting that is partially an unconscious response to the corona virus. For me, it is a positive feeling of the virus moving through the atmosphere. I tend to not have many literal references in my paintings, but this painting was definitely a response to the pandemic- only fully realized when the painting was finished,
