You'll like Sarah if: technology is a huge part of your life and you can't go five minutes without looking at your phone
My art examines the conflict between technology and nature using both realistic and abstract imagery. Each work is created using photographs combined with painting, digital manipulation and collage techniques. Digital photography is balanced by the handmade processes of painting and the physicality of sculpture. My sculptures are composed of multiple layers of transparent images that optically merge, creating an illusion of deep space. The depth in my work speaks to how deeply embedded technology is in our lives.
