Patrick Walsh is a Maine-based abstract painter from Massachusetts. He holds a BA in Art (Painting) from Plymouth State University, where he studied painting, drawing and printmaking extensively. His recent work emerges from an intuitive, process-led approach, moving away from representation in favor of gesture, texture, and restraint. This body of work reflects a commitment to authenticity—creating paintings that exist for their own sake, guided by instinct, presence, and emotional truth

My recent work seeks to confront the viewer while simultaneously offering a space for reflection. Functioning as both mirror and window, the paintings create space for personal engagement: a mirror for introspection, a window for outward contemplation. I allow viewers to bring their own interior world to the surface. What unfolds is entirely their own. My goal is not to guide but to clear a path. Offering a space where the viewer can pause and observe without distraction or instruction.
