The creative process has led me to research many subjects, but dreams and our relationship to memory have always been consistent themes in my work. The Archival Memory Series is an investigation of digitally archived photographs. Through painting, I am able to uncover nuances that clue me into the photograph’s buried history. My work is not only a resurrection of transitory moments, but a transformation. Immortalized by art, these moments are now recontextualised by a greater meaning that is ageless.
