Lifelong professional fine artist, Gina Blickenstaff, raised by professional artists in New York, USA, and trained at Tyler School of Art (Philadelphia, USA), primarily works in painting in her studio in Northern Colorado. She employs passionate color and expressive brushwork, skillfully balanced by simplified forms and values, with a focus on portraiture, still lifes, and landscapes. Her oeuvre radiates profound reverence for life, love, and light, inviting the viewer into a tranquil yet emotionally rich embrace.

An important mentor of mine once said that artists comb the heavens for beauty, and I think that’s largely true. It is true in my life and it brings joy to me to be able to harness the beauty in our surroundings and to share it with those who lack the ability to concretize it in a form that satisfies and endures. Artists often seek to educate, also, through bold renderings of difficult subject matter and this is an area of interest for me as well, most often depicted in my figurative works.
