BIO

Betsy is an abstract painter from Indiana working in acrylic on canvas. Her early career in interior design fostered her passion for color theory and design principles while exposing her to various materials, textures, and finishes. After having children, Betsy stepped away from design and continued painting to fuel her creativity. In 2022, she founded Betsy Becher Art LLC. Betsy participates in numerous group and solo exhibits while her work is represented in gallery, online, and in select retailers.

Pulling inspiration from her travels and everyday surroundings, Betsy's work reflects colors, textures, and compositions often found in nature. Her work explores the contrast of light and dark. By varying the thickness and opacity of the paint through the aid of acrylic mediums, each piece is deeply layered. Betsy's intention is for each painting to communicate everyday emotions through form and color.
