My work reflects the visceral, beautiful, and sometimes tense relationship between human culture
and the environment. Rooted in rural America, it explores how landscapes shape identity and
how human activity, in turn, reshapes the land. I’m inspired by both scientific inquiry and lived
experience, drawn to the grit, joy, and contradictions of place. Through my work, I aim to make
the complex interplay of culture, class, and ecology more personal.
