Alicia Hauff

BIO

Since taking the necessary leap from a community nursing practice to a multimedia art practice in 2021, Alicia has been re-rooting and remembering ancestral ways of moving and sensing in today’s fast-paced society. She synergizes ethos and mythos, science and visual form, and spirituality with physical matter. Her North Star is lifelong learning, curious exploration, and service. She currently lives in Fargo with her family and serves on the Plains Art Museum board of directors.

A single focus guides my multidisciplinary and evolving work: reconnecting with the earth as animated, sentient, and filled with systems and beings we're connected to in community. Each series is a journey filled with storytelling, myth, folklore, natural history, and science—my way of celebrating the wild tapestry of life. With organic shapes, grounded color palettes, and an airy feel, I hope folks feel calm and uplifted--a visual breath of fresh air from the natural world that calls us home.
