Born in Seoul, Korea / Works in Brooklyn, NY
Songyi Kim is a Korean-born, New York-based artist and art educator. She studied at Seoul National University and received her MFA from Virginia Commonwealth University. Kimās art works have been featured in numerous exhibitions at galleries and museums in the States and Korea, including The Bronx Museum of the Arts, SOMA Museum of Arts and White Box among others. Her main residency awards include those at the Jentel Artists Residency, the McColl Center and the Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts.
