"My artistic practice transforms domestic scenes, landscapes and everyday objects into celebrations of the mundane. Drawing from my Venezuelan heritage, my paintings are filled with lush color, intricate patterns and an aesthetic influenced by naive and outsider art. In my collages, I play with form and cast shadows of bicycles and chairs to create quirky constructions that distort the picture plane. I blend actual spaces with imagined visions, creating familiar yet idiosyncratic narratives that honor the poetry in everyday life."
