Every one of Rita’s artworks captures a unique feeling in a specific moment in time that she hopes to share with the viewer. Whether via abstraction or an impressionistic landscape inspired by the works of Claude Monet, Rita’s heavily textured oil paintings express a warm feeling of soulfulness and her loose brushstrokes leave the works open for spiritual interpretation.
Born in India, now a New Yorker, Rita travelled all through her life, lived across cities and went on internalizing different ways of living. She trained in painting at New York University, and New York Studio School. Rita’s paintings are expressions of her way of seeing life, a harmony of emotions, cultures, and nature. Overflowing with texture and feelings, each ushered with a soulful mind and spirit of life. Rita is also an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business. Her works have been shown at various New York City Galleries in Chelsea, and at Saphira & Ventura Gallery, Midtown, NYC’ and in New York Art Expo, 2019.
