Jaklin Romine is a disabled Latinx artist who was born in Burbank, California, and is currently based in Los Angeles. She studied Studio Arts at Cal State LA and received a Master of Fine Arts from CalArts. She has shown in galleries such as New Women Space, Night Gallery, Navel, Gallery 825, and Avenue 50. Jaki's art explores acts of care and giving and are a celebration of bodies and form, using materials ranging from flowers to draped fabrics to manipulated foam. Her installations are multi-dimensional explorations of her body and life that take the photographic medium and elevate it to a sculpture-installation.
