As a self-taught artist, I believe and create from a place of “anything is fair game”
with
what can become a piece of art. From found materials and objects bought at estate
and thrift stores, to more "traditional" paintings and illustrations, I let my imagination
connect with the medium. I have a strong affection for the discarded by creating new
forms of construction and fabrication.
I have repurposed wild-posting advertising, discarded on the streets of Los Angeles,
into vibrant wall art.
Since 2023, I have gathered and curated over 60 pieces of artwork. I only utilize
what I find, with no embellishments. If something is graffitied over, I use that and see
the graffiti taggers like invisible collaborators in this work.
There is a power in giving new life to these colorful ads that have then become trash.
I hope that viewers will feel inspired by the new way I have used these forgotten
materials.
