"A successor of mid-western women quilters, my work blurs the line between craft and art. Re-purposing fabrics of past lovers or the ones I love, I use these scraps of memories to create depictions of my current life and thoughts. Each artwork giving a bright, humorous and crafted commentary. The scraps are placed and sewn together in applique style to fabric with details added in ink and paint. I also make sketches on my voyages around the world - Curina features sketches from my trip to Antarctica in November 2022."

Born in NYNJ / Works in New York, NY
My art is a documentation of the myriad facets of my life, including relationships
I have, experiments I undertake and travels I embark upon.
After art school at Syracuse University, I landed in New York City in 2000, and began to blend my art and upbringing, as a descendant of woman quilters. I created fabric, 3D movable sculptures and showed them at galleries and restaurants in the Lower East Side. The sculptures proved difficult for transport or storage, inspiring me to begin working on flat fabric art pieces. From 2002-2015, my work showed in various galleries and occasionally adding art to the streets under the nom de plume Pufferella. During this time, I founded, curated and operated Orchard Street Art Gallery in Lower East Side, NYC (2002-2007) and Factory Fresh in Brooklyn (2008-2012). Currently working out of an art studio in Greenpoint, BK at an old rope factory, has allowed me to make larger works. Embarking on travels has inspired new plein air drawings and I began oil painting on canvas in 2023. My sewn artwork, inspired a 9 year old robotics class, to create an art show titled “Rock the Art” presented December 2023 at The Belnord Apartments Lounge, in New York city. In May 2023, Hidden Gallery created for the Hidden Letters Film, had me create a voice over story-time to play in conjunction to my artwork “Picking Up the Threads of Time”. My upcycled fabric works were featured at Katonah Village Library’s Earth Day Celebration in April 2025. I was the youngest artist to show with Zurcher Gallery in the 11 Women of Spirit show this past September 2025.
