Dimensions: Height 32.25 in x Width 15.375 in.
Medium: Hand-torn-and-assembled Gelatin Silver Photo Collage
Made from multiple B&W darkroom prints of original film captures of various restaurant and retail interiors in NYC.
Adrienne created this piece by cutting and reassembling pieces of darkroom prints of original film captures of various restaurant and retail interiors in NYC. Edges of each piece are blunter than in other works because they were hand-torn, giving this work a more nostalgic feeling combined with glimpses of domestic spaces, sculptures, and human bodies.
Born in Brooklyn, NY; Works between New York NY and Silver Spring, MD
Combining black and white photography and collage, Adrienne’s unique perspective uses urban backdrops to create abstract shapes. Hand-cut-and-assembled, her collages are anything but static, with texture and layering emphasizing their handmade quality. The complex, layered nature of Adrienne’s practice subtly blends fragmented photographs into geometric forms.
