Repeated floral motifs form a pattern in this work, an abstract layering of nature’s geometry seen in Raul’s art. Flower petals and leaves are painted within themselves, fractalizing and forming amalgamated shapes that dip in and out of the frame.

Though his earlier works took the shape of natural subjects like flowers, more indistinct shapes take center stage, playing with repetition as well as vivid color.
